Bahraini Saudi Bank, one of the leading banks in Bahrain, has implemented a robust information security management system, upgrading its processes to ISO 27001 standards

ISO 27001 is the standard for organizations worldwide to manage IT design and control risk for Information Security Policies and assets. Mr. Khalid Shaheen, CEO, BSB, said: ‘BSB is the first bank in Bahrain to be benchmarked in information security processes against global standards. The certification will help build credibility and trust amongst our stakeholders, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and maintain proactive security management for a comprehensive security culture at all levels in the organization’.

Mr. Venkatachalam P S, Head of Operations & Support at BSB, said,

‘This certification will enhance our internal security processes and maintain international standards with regard to internal controls on information resulting in better risk assessment and prioritization. This process would be continued on an ongoing basis to keep in line with ISO 27001 standards.’
